Iam very happy that the court has decided to felicitate me ,It is a great honour for a peasant like me and i am only happy to share with you the details of life-style and farming At that time ,my grandfather and i lived by our own labour,No one coveted what others had produced .We used natural methods of cultivation .People were not selfish and self centered so they wha than the present generation .But were much happier and healthierthan the present generation what is going on now ? Peoplpe live y depending on others ,Moreover ,they are jealous and greedy .Now farmers have a profit motive ,So they use artificial methods of cultivation that lead to dreadful diseases,
Idon't want to prolong my speech .Iconvey my whole hearted gratitude to HIS MAjesty ,the king ,Before i conclude i have a humble request to the king ,to promote natural methods of cultivation for the sake of all our people.

1 . The auther felt happy because he had become the owner of a tiny little piece of this wide earth'

The story Pather Pachali was written by Bibuthi Bhushan Bandhopadhay was one of one of the leadingwriters of modern Bengali literature .his works are largely set inBengal with characters from rural life.His bestknown work is the novel Song of the Road{PatherPanchali},which was later adapted into a film by Sathyajith Ray ,The Story making the Mango Pickle is an extract from the abrigded version of Pther Panchali ..The story revolves around a poor,Bengali Brahmin family in the early years of 20th century .The father Harihar is a temple priest who is unable to make both ends meet .The mother Sarbojoya ,has the chief responsibility 0f raising her mischievious daughter Durga and caring Indir,a distant aunt of Harihar ,but Durgas mother doent like Indir because durga steals fruits for her from the neighbouring Orchard.Durga wasvery closeto her brother Appu .Poverty is the main theme of the film .,after some days when Harihar comes home he is excited to inform his sucess by giving presents to his children and wife ,he had a beautiful saree for his daughter Durga .But at last Durga diedout of poverty but Appu asks if she is asleep this the tragic moment in the film .
